The Twisted Root Cuts Through Heaven and Earth

For a hundred thousand years, the Xuanhuang Realm has been bound by the “Root of Original Sin.” Any cultivator who tries to break through is devoured by inner demons and turned into a monster that slaughters the living.

The youth Su Chen possesses a “Pure Soul Embryo,” but because it can reveal cultivators' inner demons, his sect denounces him as an “abomination,” tears out his spiritual root, and casts him into the Soul-Burying Abyss. At death's door, he encounters Lin Yue, who is fleeing with the “Calamity-Slaying Sword.” Once a prodigy on whom the sect had pinned its hopes, Lin Yue is now hunted by the entire sect for discovering the elders' secret: they are nourishing the Root of Original Sin with cultivators' blood.

The two accidentally activate an ancient “Yin-Yang Pact.” The Pure Soul Embryo purifies the source of inner demons, while the Calamity-Slaying Sword severs the roots of evil. Together, their twin powers can tear apart the shackles of original sin!

From slaughtering the traitorous sect's enemies to delving into forbidden grounds for ancient scriptures, from clashing head-on with lords of original sin to uncovering the truth behind the gods' downfall: it turns out that so-called original sin is merely food kept by the Heavenly Dao!

As heaven and earth run red with blood, Su Chen burns his soul to pierce the illusion, while Lin Yue swings his sword to split the firmament. “Even if the Heavenly Dao is a furnace, I will cut away every rotten root and forge a bright new world!”
