The Godslayer's Edge: The Awakening of Aesos

On the continent of Aesos, the Old Gods have fed on humanity’s faith and ruled for a thousand years. Their churches are invisible shackles, their holy knights a brutal iron fist, and humanity is nothing more than a humble sacrifice upon the altar.

Until the day the tribe of Kalen, son of a borderland hunter, was burned to the ground by followers of the Lord of Thunder over the slightest suspicion of “heresy.” After witnessing his loved ones die in agony, despair and fury awakened the dormant power in his blood: the mark of an ancient godslayer’s descendant, a power capable of tearing apart the very essence of the gods.

The avenger who crawled from the ashes of his tribe, guided by an exiled scholar, sets out on the path of resistance. Wielding a godslaying blade, he will cross ancient ruins and unite the scattered sparks of rebellion across the continent to fight the mighty theocratic empire. This is not merely a revolution for freedom, but an epic tale of how a mortal breaks free from the gods’ shackles and cuts down their throne with his own hands.

As the Lord of Thunder’s holy war sweeps across the continent and former allies become enemies, Kalen must choose between revenge and protection. In the end, he will uncover the true meaning of the power to slay gods: is it a darkness that will destroy everything, or the dawn that will light the way to the future?
