Father of Puppets

Mu Xin, a master craftsman of mechanisms, lives in seclusion. Every mechanical puppet he creates bears a unique spark of spirit, as if it were alive. He loves his most treasured creation, the mechanical girl A Mu, as if she were his own daughter, pouring his heart and soul into her. But the wicked Black Abyss sect covets his craft and kidnaps A Mu. To save his beloved daughter, Mu Xin sets every spirit-infused puppet he has ever made into motion, sending a torrent of destruction against the Black Abyss lair. The battle is brutal. At the cost of destroying every puppet, Mu Xin finally rescues A Mu. Amid the smoke and rubble, holding A Mu’s shattered core in his arms, he finally understands the true meaning of “Father of Puppets”: it lies not in creation, but in the burden of sacrifice and protection.
