The City's Hidden Blade: The Lady of Sand City

Su Wanyun, the wife of Shabak's city lord, is a lavishly gilded prisoner of a political marriage.

Outwardly docile, she supports the old lord's faction and gathers evidence of the new city lord Tu Qianyue's tyranny.

When Tu Qianyue massacres the craftsmen at the sword-forging furnace, Su Wanyun risks everything to hide proof of the slaughter.

As rebellion erupts, Tu Qianyue attempts to activate the city's deadly defensive formation.

At the last moment, Su Wanyun shuts it down.

Tu Qianyue stares at her in shock. “You betrayed me?”

She smiles. “I was never loyal. How could that be betrayal?”

Steel flashes in the cold light, and the city changes hands.
