Stardust Allergy Syndrome

In the shadow of the towering Giant God Peak, the tranquil village of Starfall Valley depends for its survival on the “Silver Tear,” a spring of life. But a fragment of a fallen meteor contaminates the water. Instead of receiving a blessing, the villagers who drink from the spring develop a terrifying condition known as “stardust allergy.” Under astral energy, their skin burns as if seared by invisible flames, while the whispers of the stars torment their minds and drive them to the brink of collapse. Ruled by fear and ignorance, and incited by a fanatical astral spirit cult, the villagers brand them “the cursed” and mercilessly exile them to the abandoned Serpent Spine Mine in the mountains.

Amid darkness, despair, and suffering, the outcasts unexpectedly discover a twisted connection between themselves and astral energy. They find that when their resolve is fully focused and their pain resonates, their minds can form a faint but real collective field of will. Like a stone cast into a still lake, it is enough to disturb the ever-present currents of astral energy.
