This Prince Is the Master of Slacking, and My Wild Schemes Shock Chang’an

Ding! He’s bound to the “Carefree Prince System.” The Tang prince racks up carefree points by slacking off, but a talented female clerk disguised as a man keeps showing up to check on him? Li Xian is a famously lazy prince in the Zhenguan era, idling away in a sinecure at the Ministry of Works. By chance, he becomes bound to a System that lets him trade slacking off for skills like “Brilliant Ideas” and “Ministry of Works Masterpieces.” He fishes at the office and zones out during court meetings, yet his System-generated canal transport plan leaves Wei Zheng stunned, his design for the Daming Palace puts the great clans to shame, and even his solution to the Tibetan problem comes to him while “daydreaming.” Fang Zhining, the Chancellor’s legitimate daughter, disguises herself as a man under the name “Fang Ning” and infiltrates the Ministry of Works. Ordered to keep an eye on this slacking prince, she soon realizes something is off: he seems to have given up, but beneath the surface he hides real talent, and he even helps her family foil a political enemy’s plot. From mutual dislike to a pact of secrecy, and then to a sham engagement to avoid a political marriage, the “Idle and Ning” pairing becomes the talk of Chang’an. When the Crown Prince’s factional struggle and the threat of a palace coup loom, Li Xian keeps slacking off, yet uses “Crisis Premonition” to avert disaster and even uncovers a rebellion plot through the “Tea Pavilion.” Now that the System has unlocked the “Temporal Leisure Garden” and the ultimate quest, “The Carefree Man of a Flourishing Age,” can he preserve the Tang dynasty’s golden age and win the talented lady’s heart? 【Bonus Scene】 Fang Ning (frowning): “Your Highness is slacking off again? The Censorate is going to impeach you!” Li Xian waves the waterworks plans he just drew. “Why worry about impeachment? The Minister is already waiting to snatch up the plan I came up with while slacking off.”
