I Inherited a Haunted House from the Start: I Capture Female Ghosts as Employees

After being released from prison, Zhong Kui took over his brother's horror house, which was on the verge of going under. Faced with a house full of shoddy props and wandering spirits, he put his pure-yang body and ghost-busting skills as a talisman master to work, swinging a broom to give them all "onboarding training": exorcising with spit, sending spirits to the afterlife with his fists, and promising them "five kinds of insurance, a housing fund, and bonus ingots!"

Just as Sadako was climbing out of the well and Kayako was twisting herself into shape to get to work, Shen Ying, the girl he had saved years ago, showed up with a copper coin in hand and calmly applied for the accounting job.

From then on, the horror house took a sharp turn: the ghost employees scared thugs witless by day and lined up at night for paper clothes folded by Sister Shen; loan-shark enforcers were chased for three blocks by a nurse's IV stand; monks and Taoist priests came by, only to be sold "evil spirit merchandise"...

With a cigarette in his mouth, Zhong Kui pulled Shen Ying close. "Don't be scared. Around here, even the ghosts sign employment contracts!"
