Returning to the Mountain Blind, Slaying Gods with Baji

Chen Gou'er, a boy from Wuyin Mountain, was rescued at the age of six by Chen Xuan, a martial arts fanatic. He tempered his body in medicinal baths and built a foundation in Bajiquan and Taijiquan. After twenty years of grueling training, he became a martial arts prodigy. When he descended from the mountain and entered the world, a single remark from policewoman Qin Yue, "Chen Guishan," drew him into the hidden currents of the city. There, he witnessed his beloved's brutal death at the hands of a Blood Wager List assassin. Seeking revenge, he took the alias "Ember Remnant" and entered the death games run by the Phoenix Organization. As he fought his way up the merciless Blood Wager List, he pitted traditional martial arts against the technological brutality of the War God chip.

Fighting alongside Su Xue, his childhood friend known by the codename Medusa, and the proud assassin Chen Xiao, he burns through three "Bloodburn Pills" in a decisive battle on an island. Blind and deaf, he faces the mechanical prosthesis known as War God Zero. Then his master, Chen Xuan, strides across the sea and ends the technological myth with three moves of Bajiquan. This is the comeback of traditional martial arts against mechanical ascension, and the story of a boy's rebirth from avenger to protector. He returns to the mountain blind, but the way of martial arts is clear.
