Star Chart Awakening: I Conquer the Apocalypse with Mechanisms

(Don’t read, it’s been abandoned. Sorry.) [Ancient apocalypse + historical speculation + apocalypse speculation + zombie outbreak + gods + interstellar + fresh premise + slow burn + political intrigue + explorers + fragmented technology][Fragmented technology was left behind by unknown civilizations, such as machine oil and mechanical arms.] In the final years of the Great Yin dynasty, disasters struck without end. Plague spread through the Western Regions, the dead ran rampant, and nine out of every ten cities fell. The realm descended into chaos. Pei Zhao, son of frontier commander Pei Wuyaya, awoke in a meteor crater. With the face of a divine child, he was stranded in the wilderness, his origins a mystery. In these turbulent times, his village was on the verge of destruction, surrounded by hordes of the dead. His life hung by a thread, and no one could save him. By chance, he gained a golden finger: a star chart awakened in his mind, allowing him to foresee disasters seven days ahead and master the secrets of mechanisms. He could predict the movements of the undead, break ancient formations, control the earth’s veins, and outwit anyone. His combat prowess was unmatched. While others fled with swords in hand, he laughed as he leaped off a cliff and turned the tables on the Corpse King. His luck was absurdly good. From a village boy to a wanderer across the wasteland, he wielded a crossbow and drafted plans, overcoming one crisis after another to survive and uncovering the thousand-year-old secrets of the dynasty. With the star chart in his grasp and mechanisms under his command, he would rise to the peak of this chaotic age, defy Heaven’s punishment, and establish a new order for the realm.
