[It starts out slow and gets better as it goes!]

Ye Chen, 24, is an ordinary game planner. When the Apocalypse descends, he becomes bound to the [Death-Seeking Comeback System].

The world transforms: fog blankets the globe, zombies run rampant, insectoid invaders attack, and Cthulhu's whispers erode people's minds.

He earns "madness points" by provoking monsters and pulling reckless stunts, trading them for X-ray vision, weapons born from wild ideas, and devastating sharp-tongued attacks.

From the start, zombies surround him on the street. His teammates are breaking down, supplies are gone, and the convoy is on the verge of collapse.

"I'll risk my life, but I won't die!" Ye Chen grins, hoisting a giant tentacle hammer cobbled together from a mop. "Come on, who's first?"

Shen Qinghuan adjusts her glasses and sneers. "Go any crazier and I'll still have to drag you back from death's door."

Lei Zhentian shoulders his gun and roars, "Captain! You bastard, you used me as bait again?!"

"Quiet." Zhuge Cong stares at the screen. "He just summoned an Eye of the Abyss with a washbasin... and even managed to mock the entire insect nest."

The whole team is a bunch of oddballs, trading ridiculous insults, yet they carve a blazing trail through the jaws of despair.

They stockpile supplies, battle the fog, outsmart deadly mechanisms, and wipe out their enemies, making one mad comeback after another.

The crazier the world gets, the tougher they become, because staying alive is the greatest counterattack of all.
