Journey to the West: The Golden Cudgel Sweeps All Before It!

When the Five Elements Mountain crumbled, the Golden Cudgel’s rumble shattered the lies of the Western Heaven.

“The pilgrimage? To hell with it!” Sun Wukong gripped his iron cudgel, his knuckles turning white. Locked within it were the dried bones and vengeful spirits of a hundred thousand laborers who had built the dikes. Every groove was carved with the arrogance of gods and Buddhas who treated all living beings as cattle and dogs. What five hundred years couldn’t suppress was never divine power, but the resentment of those treated like ants.

He smashed Guanyin’s tightening headband with a single blow. As blood splattered across the South Heaven Gate, the Three Realms finally saw the truth: the so-called true scriptures were shackles around the necks of all beings; the so-called Heavenly Dao was nothing but a foundation built from the bones of mortals crushed beneath the powerful. Wherever the Golden Cudgel swept, the glazed tiles of Lingxiao Palace came tumbling down, and karmic flames stained the Nine-Rank Lotus Throne at Mount Ling. The Giant Spirit God’s axe broke into scrap, Nezha’s flaming wheels dimmed amid the howls of vengeful spirits, and even the Buddha’s phantom image was torn with cracks by the wind of the cudgel.

This iron cudgel would sweep away the Jade Emperor’s indifference as he sat high among the clouds, the schemes behind the Buddha’s smile as he held a flower, and every injustice deemed “only natural.” When a hundred thousand vengeful spirits appeared in the cudgel’s shadow, when the suffering of the mortal world resonated with its dried bones, Heaven and Earth should have known long ago:

Sun Wukong’s Golden Cudgel would sweep away the shackles imposed by gods and Buddhas, smash the old world’s rules, and make the Three Realms hear this: even ants can rage enough to topple the sky!
