The Delivery Boy: A Legend of the Business World

Food delivery rider Feng Ling is making deliveries in a torrential downpour when a single customer complaint wipes out all his savings. But while helping an elderly resident buy fresh groceries, he spots a business opportunity. First, a wholesaler tricks him into buying fake goods, costing him his entire investment. Then a local thug threatens to smash his “warehouse.” He sets up a night-market stall, dodging the city inspectors by hiding in a trash can, and struggles to get started using a WeChat mini-program to keep his books. Pushing forward through the mud, he turns a corner of his rented room into a fresh-food warehouse and earns people’s trust through sincerity. When an old classmate shows off a luxury car and sneers, “You’re born to run errands,” and an influencer tries to buy his customer base on the cheap, Feng Ling clutches his orders and carries on. With help from Auntie Wang’s warm buns, Su Qing’s notes on her orders, and Li from the delivery station, he builds his own little kingdom in the neighborhood fresh-food business. This isn’t a story of a miraculous comeback. It’s about ordinary people stumbling through life, getting back up, and taking one more step forward. Flowers that bloom in the mud are the strongest of all.
