Painting Through Heaven and Earth to Create the World

Jiang Mo arrives in a world where magic reigns supreme, bringing with him a paint box passed down through his family.

The nobility mock him for wielding a paintbrush instead of a staff, while commoners say painting won’t put bread on the table.

With no other choice, he paints a fierce tiger to drive off the magical beasts. The nobles stare in disbelief: How can a painting come to life?

Academy instructors come to blows over the chance to enroll him, while battlefield commanders beg him to paint an army of thousands.

When the Magic Council declares that spirit painting distorts reality and must be destroyed,

Jiang Mo sweeps his brush across the canvas and paints the Genesis mural. The source of magic flows through the painting, revealed for all to see.

“Art doesn’t distort reality,” he says, the Milky Way gathering at his brush tip. “It depicts the truth of where your power comes from.”
