Fragments of the Future: The 2025 Fog

In the “New Metaverse” of 2060, Shangguan Wan’er is a core member of the secret organization “Guardians of Time.” While carrying out a mission to stop the spread of “time paradox weapons,” she is ambushed by a traitor within the organization and an unknown force working together. Forced to activate an emergency temporal jump device, she carries a biological chip containing “forbidden technology” through the turbulence of spacetime. Interference shifts her target coordinates to 2025. Jiang Yiheng, heir to one of the capital’s foremost medical families, is leading a team in a secret investigation into “the ethics of gene editing” near a factory. His family was involved in early genetic technology experiments. By chance, he discovers the unconscious Shangguan Wan’er. The residual energy from the future in her body causes ordinary medical equipment to malfunction. Intrigued by her, Jiang Yiheng takes her to his private hospital.
