I Became the Richest Woman in the Galaxy After Gaining Mind-Reading Powers

Rong Le, an ordinary medical student, dies in a car accident while saving a child. When she opens her eyes, she finds herself the owner of a rundown bar in a slum of the interstellar empire.

Before she can even sort out the mess the previous owner left behind, the cacophony of thoughts exploding in her mind nearly drives her mad:

“This new owner's so young. I'll hack her payment system tonight!”

“Ugh, this liquor's watered down. I'm not coming back.”

“When's the boss next door coming to collect protection money? Hurry up and start fighting!”

Rong Le: “...” Have I become a walking, talking receiver for everyone's snarky thoughts?

Since she's here, she might as well squeeze every last drop out of the situation. From then on, a legend emerges in the interstellar black market.

She can “guess” exactly what every customer needs and sell low-grade nutrient fluid for a fortune. She can “predict” her competitors' trump cards and dominate every negotiation.

She uses mind reading to snap up an abandoned planet, only to uncover a rare crystal mine. She uses it to connect with a military informant and land a sky-high contract. The wealthy families who once looked down on her now line up to beg for her cooperation.

Then one day, a stunning man arrives at the bar, and she can't “hear” his thoughts at all. He lazily swirls his glass, smiling knowingly.

“Everyone else has been fooled by you. But I'm curious, Boss Rong: would you sell your mind-reading ability?”

Alarm bells ring in Rong Le's mind, but she beams at him. “Sure. The price is... everything you own, including you.”
