May Your Every Wish Come True, With Him by Your Side Year After Year

A sweet, gentle girl transfers to First High School and immediately knocks Xie Qingchuan off his pedestal, taking the top spot that used to be his. Xie Qingchuan is the school’s academic prodigy, cool and aloof, as if nothing interests him. After they keep running into each other, Xie Qingchuan realizes the girl is deliberately trying to get close to him. Curious about her motives, he agrees when her sister asks him to walk her home after school. Xie Qingchuan thinks that is all their relationship will ever amount to, but they gradually grow closer. It starts with curiosity, but in the end, he gets swept up in it himself. The girl, however, may not be as well-behaved as everyone thinks. Someone claiming to be her former classmate reveals that she used to skip class and rebel at her old school, and that all her good grades came from cheating. No one knows whether it is a lie or the truth. Only after the truth is cleared up do they get a glimpse of the girl who struggled to keep going in the mire back then. Then one day, Shen Zhaosui suddenly transfers away. No one knows what happened. After Shen Zhaosui leaves, Xie Qingchuan goes back to his old, indifferent self. But no one knows that on a rainy night, the boy cried and begged her to come back. All he got in return was, “I was only using you. I always was, from beginning to end.” “Shen Zhaosui, the clouds have only hidden your starlight. The stars don’t go out because of the clouds, and you won’t be brought down by hardship either.” “Xie Qingchuan, this time I’ll be the one to pick up the pieces of you, one by one.”
