In the Name of the People: Reborn, I Drove Li Dakang to the Brink of Madness

Reborn with the memories of every episode of In the Name of the People, “Universe District Chief” Sun Liancheng returns to the past. Using his ability to foresee the future, he quietly makes his moves on the eve of the “116 Incident,” hoping to change the balance of power in Handong. From precisely targeting Chen Qingquan’s scandal to anonymously delivering crucial evidence, Sun Liancheng uses astronomy as his stage and science as his blade, navigating the currents of power. He introduces the PPP model to shake up vested interests and establishes the “Handong Reform Think Tank,” even using blockchain to build a towering wall against corruption. But the inertia of history is as stubborn as the gravity of the universe, and his foresight gradually stops working. Sha Ruijin’s anti-corruption blade also uncovers his identity as someone reborn. Thus begins a political wager that spans time and space: Sha Ruijin bets on the purity of the fight against corruption, while Sun Liancheng bets on the future of reform. When the meteor dust settles, will Sun Liancheng’s retreat from public life bring about institutional renewal, or is there a deeper game behind Sha Ruijin’s victory? This is an interstellar contest over the nature of power, the destiny of history, and the redemption of the human spirit.
