My Garage Connects the Past and Present

The doorframe marked a clear boundary. Outside lay a bright world where dust motes danced in the light; inside was profound darkness, an absolute void. It stood there in silence like a gateway to an unknown abyss. A faint current of air drifted from within, carrying a strange... clean, icy scent. There was no musty smell of dust like in the garage. Instead, the space seemed impossibly vast, and a deathly stillness that felt as if it existed beyond space itself washed over him.

Shen Mo sucked in a sharp breath. The hand gripping the doorknob turned ice-cold, and his mind fell into chaos.

What... was this place?

Why was there a door like this?

What... lay beyond it?
