A Soul Transmigrated to the Seventies: I Married a Soldier with a General's Soul

Transmigrating into the Seventies: Becoming a Military Wife with a General's Soul

At 37, Wen Wen was a sales manager at Haicheng Food Company and an orphan with no one to care for her. Overtime and business trips were part of daily life, her meager salary barely covered her expenses, and even her college romance had been broken up because she came from a “rural background.” One August evening, she spent 38 yuan on a cool, dark green ring, only to be flung aside by a truck that ran a red light as she crossed the road.

When she opened her eyes again, she was in a train toilet in 1978, roused by the stench. The body she now occupied was also named Wen Wen. Her parents were dead, and two years earlier her aunt had “sold” her to a soldier named Zhou Yuan for 1,600 yuan in bride price, in exchange for a factory worker position for her younger brother. But Zhou Yuan had left on a mission on their wedding day and hadn't been heard from in two years. Now her aunt wanted to sell her to an old bachelor. Wen Wen fled in the middle of the night with a letter of introduction to find her husband, only to be drugged by human traffickers in the toilet.

Footsteps drew closer outside the door. Danger lurked all around. Suddenly, the dark green ring on her left hand, which had come with her when she transmigrated, burned and stung. A phantom figure in armor appeared: the remnant soul of an ancient general, awakened by her blood.

“Don't be afraid,” the phantom said gravely. “I'll take over your body in a moment and deal with them in no time.”

With her aunt scheming against her, human traffickers blocking her way, and her unseen husband's fate unknown, Wen Wen's struggle to survive in the Seventies had begun, armed with a modern soul and the spirit of a general.
