The Chubby Army Wife Who Couldn’t Butcher a Pig Wants to Remarry

Synopsis of I Can’t Slaughter Pigs, So This Plump Army Wife Wants a Divorce!

Li Meng, a PhD graduate from a prestigious university, was the unluckiest person alive. Three years after graduation, she still couldn’t find a suitable job. As a courier, she lost a customer’s online purchase, an LV bag, and had to pay back everything she owned. She was kicked out of her rental apartment for taking in a stray cat. She was fired from a hot pot restaurant after forgetting to turn on the stove while cooking fish for a customer. As a delivery driver, she got lost so often that she was blacklisted... At thirty-four, she was drifting through life when she was struck and killed while crossing the road. Her last thought was of the 250 yuan left in her bank account.

When she opened her eyes again, she had become a chubby fifteen-year-old girl in Nishi Village in the 1980s! The original owner was the adopted daughter of Li Dagui, a pig butcher. She had eaten her way to three hundred jin, and was highly skilled at slaughtering pigs and dressing bones. But after her adoptive father died in an accident while butchering a pig, she fainted in the pigsty from grief. Her new occupant, the modern-day Li Meng, couldn’t slaughter a pig, and wanted to run away at the mere sight of one! Worst of all, she fainted at the sight of blood...

Even worse, the original owner had been promised in marriage since birth to Zhao Tiejun, who had enlisted in the army eight years ago and lived in Tiehua Village, three kilometers away. Looking at the bare earthen house, the fat pigs grunting all around her, and her own round belly, Li Meng was close to tears. She only wanted to sell the pigs for money, get away from slaughtering, and arrange a new marriage so she could enjoy a few carefree days!

But with a three-hundred-jin body, a good-for-nothing reputation as someone who couldn’t slaughter pigs, and a rugged soldier husband who had suddenly shown up, her path to a new marriage was bound to be full of chaos and mishaps!
