Matriarchy: I Can’t Even Slack Off If I Want To

On her third transmigration, Ms. Ye finally arrived in the long-awaited world where women held power. The setting: a country just settling down after a period resembling the end of the Yuan and beginning of the Ming. The entire setting is fictional, merely similar to that era. She had thought that simply getting another chance at life would be enough to make her enjoy this world. The identity the System picked for her suited her perfectly, too. A life with no parents, no one to answer to, and plenty of money sounded amazing. She was just about to slack off and live off the land until she died, but things didn't seem to be going that way. Xiao Qi: “Big sister, are you really not going to consider earning an academic title? It comes with a tax exemption. Even just passing the county-level exam will exempt you from taxes.” Hearing the System, Ye Anning remained unmoved. She wasn't short of money to begin with, and there was plenty more in her storage space. Xiao Qi: “Big sister, are you really not going to take the exams again? The court has just finished fighting a war, and it's in desperate need of capable people. You have a great chance, and Xiao Qi will help you, too. Don't you want your name to go down in history?” Ye Anning was shamefully tempted. Who doesn't have a hero's dream? Who wouldn't want to make a name for themselves and build a career? And as a citizen of China, who could resist having their own page in the family genealogy, with their name right at the top? Ye Anning thought quietly for a while, then remembered there was something odd about the System. She took a deep breath. “All right, let's give it everything we've got.” The blurb doesn't do it justice, so please read the story. You can also support the author's first two books. This is a slow-transmigration series. Ye Anning, also known as Ye Wanwan, keeps transmigrating. If inspiration strikes, the author may write a sentinel-guide novel and a period novel next.
