The Knight's Journey: The Golden Iris

In medieval Europe, the spirit of chivalry and the light of faith intertwined to create countless legends. The Knight’s Quest: The Golden Iris is a Western fantasy that brings that era of glory and steadfast devotion to life with delicate prose. The golden iris is the story’s central image. In the Middle Ages, irises symbolized the purity of faith and the sanctity of one’s mission, while gold evoked a knight’s unwavering devotion to honor. The story follows a young knight’s growth: from his inexperience when he first enters the battlefield to the lessons he learns amid the flames of war. After one setback after another, he finally comes to understand that war is not what he imagined the chivalric ideal to be, and this changes her way of thinking as well. Written by the Croatian Archbishop, the book offers not only vivid depictions of knights at war, but also weaves in the historical context and religious culture of Western fantasy. From castle sieges along the Adriatic coast to contemplation of faith within monasteries, its pages capture both the grandeur of war and a profound exploration of what true glory means. The image of the golden iris runs throughout: it is both the emblem on a knight’s coat of arms and the unchanging beacon of faith in his heart: Let the true spirit of chivalry take root on this continent. Let the Kingdom of Heaven descend upon this continent.
