Daoist Priest, Times Have Changed!

Lin Chen, an overworked 996 wage slave, wakes up to find that he has transmigrated into the world of Mr. Vampire and become the least promising of Uncle Jiu's disciples. From the start, his senior brothers Qiu Sheng and Wen Cai have already made a huge mess, and the coffin lid of the Ren family's old patriarch is about to burst open!

At this critical moment, the Celestial Master Merit System awakens!

[Ding! Host has upheld the righteous path for the first time. Reward: Beginner's Gift Pack: Golden Light Mantra (Beginner)!]

[Mission issued: Help your master, Lin Fengjiao, suppress the Ren family's zombie!]

Slay demons and monsters to earn merit; improve your cultivation and trade it for divine abilities!

While everyone else is still laboring over talismans and incantations, Lin Chen has already used merit points to max out the Five Thunder Orthodox Method, summoning rolling thunder with a wave of his hand!

When the shikigami army of the Japanese onmyoji lays siege, Lin Chen holds a peachwood sword in his left hand and a Gatling gun in his right, with a whole crew of ghost kings at his back. He smiles faintly and says:

“Daoist, times have changed. It’s time the rules changed, too.”

Starting in Renjia Town, he gradually cleanses China of the demons and monsters lurking all around, thwarts Japan’s shocking plot to seize the dragon vein of Huaxia, and restores the glory of the Daoist sect in the name of Maoshan!
