A Demon Slayer fanfiction. Please read the story description carefully. There may be some OOC moments. Yuichiro’s six basic forms of Cloud Breathing are original creations by the author: 1. First Form: Clouds Rolling Across the Sea A basic wide-area slash. The swordsman swings their blade, turning their breath into a vast sea of slashing winds that blankets the area at close to medium range and restrains multiple enemies. The slashes follow an unpredictable path. 2. Second Form: Clouds Piercing the Sky A high-speed, straight-line thrusting slash. The swordsman surges forward with the cloudlike blade wind, cutting through the air like a stream of clouds. It can close the distance in an instant and pierce an enemy’s defenses, making it ideal for a quick attack. 3. Third Form: Clouds Pressing Down A series of heavy vertical slashes. Each blow builds upon the last like layers of thick clouds bearing down, growing stronger with every strike. It targets the enemy’s upper body and the surrounding ground, making it highly effective at breaking through a stalemate. 4. Fourth Form: Cloud Threads Entwining Slash A rapid series of fine cuts that send out delicate, cloud-thread-like currents of blade wind to coil around an enemy’s limbs and restrict their movement, before following up with a strike at a vital point. Ideal for close-quarters combat. 5. Fifth Form: Turbulent Clouds Surging A series of spinning slashes. Unruly waves of cloudlike blade wind burst out around the swordsman, disrupting the enemy’s attack rhythm while sweeping away other foes at close range. A technique for both offense and defense. 6. Sixth Form: Hiding in the Cloud Shadows A movement technique. The blade wind becomes a veil of thin clouds that conceals the swordsman, who can hide in their shadows to move quickly, evade attacks, or seize an opportunity to launch a surprise strike. Original Secret Art, Seventh Form: Silent Destruction of the Cloud Firmament The ultimate form of Cloud Breathing. The swordsman combines their full strength with their breathing technique, drawing in the clouds of heaven and earth to gather on the blade and unleash an enormous, dome-shaped slash of cloud energy. As it falls, it bears down like a sea of clouds, covering a vast area. Its power is enough to shatter the Blood Demon Arts and defenses of a powerful enemy. A brief period of charging is needed to gather the clouds.
