Demon Slayer: Big Brother, Come a Little Closer

After Yuichiro died, he became a spirit and watched over Muichiro.

He watched helplessly as his beloved little brother lost his memory, became a Hashira, and finally died in the Infinity Castle. Yuichiro was on the verge of breaking down.

Then he returned to the time when they had argued and gone two days without speaking.

Muichiro was too upset to talk to his brother, so Yuichiro gently patted his head.

“...Huh? Brother?”

Muichiro was overwhelmed by the unexpected affection.

When the demon came, Yuichiro was just about to fight it to the death when Sanemi arrived.

Sanemi quickly took care of the demon, then turned to look at the two of them.

“Ah, you must be the woodcutting boys Master mentioned. Come with me.”

Yuichiro, still shaken by what he'd just witnessed: “...”

How can you say something like that to two kids who've just been through a bloody scene!

Warning: major brother and little-brother complexes.

A lot of headcanons. Iguro and Shinazugawa are mysterious.

There won't be much romantic content between Muichiro and Yuichiro. They're underage, after all, and there definitely won't be any ( ) scenes unless I write an adult AU extra. (Not sure if I will, haven't decided.)

There will be (lots of) original characters, but they're all temporary NPCs I came up with on the spot. They don't really matter, and most will probably be gone after a few chapters.

It's said that Muichiro won't lose his memory, but he isn't some naive, sweet little angel either. He's an extreme big brother fanatic who can't live without Yuichiro, while remaining cold toward everyone else.

There won't be any soft, cutesy language. Saya really hates that.

There will be animal transformations.

Apologies for the out-of-character moments!!

This story has turned out a little bittersweet (I know). I just wanted to write something angsty. The next one will be a normal story.
