My Pet Is a Mountain God Who Loves to Steal the Spotlight!!!!

[Overworked Office Worker Protagonist + Demoted Mountain God + Faint Magic + Baffling Acts of Gratitude + Mutual Taming + Comedy + Heartwarming] Lin Xiaoman never imagined that the lame black cat she brought home was actually a mountain god, banished to the mortal world with just one percent of his magic left. The cat, whom she named Lao Shi, sets out to earn faith points and restore his power by showering her with a series of “baffling acts of gratitude.” Lao Shi can’t understand what people really mean: when she sighs over her lottery ticket, he makes a vending machine spit out coins, sparking a neighborhood free-for-all; when she complains about slow deliveries, he clears out the entire parcel depot and piles everything in her living room; when she tries to lose weight, he replaces all the fried chicken in the fridge with wild weeds. He also short-circuits the sound system while trying to follow along with square dancing, gets called an “evil spirit” for imitating an internet-famous cat, and even “enhances” her hot pot with toilet water. Amid the chaos, Lin Xiaoman goes from being forced to pay for the damage and apologize to helplessly laughing as she cleans up the mess. Gradually, she discovers the clumsy kindness behind this attention-seeking mountain god. And with each new blunder, Lao Shi begins to understand that human wishes don’t need magic. Perhaps simply dozing on her keyboard while she works overtime is the best way to keep her company. This is a story of mutual taming between an overworked human and a down-on-his-luck mountain god, packed with laugh-out-loud moments and warmed by every exasperated glance they share.
