Good Fields and Good Food: A Scheming Husband and His Adorable Wife and Baby

Su Yunxi takes her adorable child and settles into a quiet life in the countryside. With her medical skills, she prepares healing dishes, and with her excellent cooking, she serves up delicious meals. All she wants is to tend her little plot of land and live in peace.

But then Xiao Jue, a man of unfathomable depth, moves in next door. He seems distant, yet whenever she is given a hard time, he quietly takes her side. When she treats other people, he finds subtle ways to warn them off. Even four-year-old Nian'an can see it: “The way Papa looks at Mama is like he wants to hide all the osmanthus cakes and eat them by himself!”

Her adorable child cheers them on in a babyish voice, Grandma smiles as she plays matchmaker, her best friend Chuntao brings vegetables and messages, and their kindhearted neighbor lends a hand. Even the occasional troublemaker who shows up becomes an excuse for him to stake his claim.

As smoke rises from the kitchen and the fields yield a fine harvest, the scent of medicine mingles with the aroma of food. Her scheming husband advances step by step: “Yunxi, this land, this child, and you are all under my care now.”
