Chronicles of Shadow-Cutting in the Dark Abyss

Yun Zhao, a rising star in criminology in Wutong City, unexpectedly gains the ability to glimpse the “black box of criminal nature.” Hidden greed, violence, and distortion take on eerie “shadow forms” before his eyes. Armed with the “Lightweaver,” a device described in a mysterious ancient text, he must analyze the structure of these shadows through criminal psychology, using restorative justice as his needle and social ecology as his thread as he struggles along the path of “shadow governance.” From schoolyard disputes to deep-rooted urban problems, Yun Zhao uses his unique “RESTORE” model to turn the forces of darkness into the light of rehabilitation: making a thief’s “shadow hand” work in a community garden, and turning a bully’s “web of fear” into a barrier that protects the vulnerable. Facing skepticism from established powers and the counterattack of “dark violence,” he joins forces with like-minded companions and vows to establish a “Shadow Governance Court.” Above the abyss of crime and punishment, they will weave a warm, resilient web of redemption. This is a journey of “shadow judgment” that explores humanity’s darker side, the compassion of justice, and personal growth.
