The Eye That Sees Heaven

Lu Li, heir to a fallen cultivation family, clings to life while running the family’s shabby old shop, Mountain and Sea Spirit Pavilion. That is, until he awakens the Heaven-Appraising Eye from a yellowed fragment of the ancestral tome, “The Mirror of Mountains and Rivers”: his left eye appraises treasures, while his right eye sees through illusions. When his presence turns the counterfeit-ridden black market of the cultivation world upside down, the enormous bronze gates deep in the Nine Netherworlds burst open. The rotting City God who crawls out from behind them says, as his first words: “Boy from the Lu family, that ‘Map to the Yellow Springs’ you appraised… it really is the genuine article!”
