Our Three-Hundred-Year-Old Ancestor Is a Bit of a Washout

Ling Chen, a modern veteran, lost his right arm during six years of brutal military service. After eight years of marriage, even carrying cement at construction sites with one arm couldn’t keep his wife and child by his side. His parents died in a car crash, leaving him severely depressed. Then, in a psychiatric hospital, another patient jumped from a building and crushed him to death! Fate had a cruel twist in store: when he opened his eyes again, he had transmigrated into the body of the three-hundred-year-old founding patriarch of the Lingyun Sect on the Cangming Continent!

Unfortunately, this patriarch is a bit of a “failure.” The original owner was only at Foundation Establishment, bought a fake cultivation manual and suffered cultivation deviation, and ended up with shattered meridians and no cultivation at all. All that remained was the empty title of “patriarch.” He was left to look after a tiny sect of eighteen people, with barren spirit fields, nearly empty spirit-stone reserves, and disciples so thin they looked like skeletons. The sect was on the verge of disbanding.

At least his intact limbs make up for the regrets of his past life! Watch as this “new patriarch,” who has endured the worst life has to offer, uses a veteran’s iron will and modern ingenuity to repair his meridians from scratch, rebuild his foundation, and lead the dirt-poor disciples of the Lingyun Sect to reclaim wasteland, earn spirit stones, and seize opportunities.

So what if he’s a three-hundred-year-old good-for-nothing? Watch him take one careful step at a time, transform a crumbling little sect into a powerhouse of Cangming, and rise from a good-for-nothing patriarch to a generation’s Immortal Venerable, carving the name Lingyun into the vast path of immortality!
