The Five Ghosts' Wealth-Invoking Art

This story is entirely fictional and has no connection to real life. Any similarities are purely coincidental. Su Jin, a formidable force in Shanghai’s e-commerce industry, was born with Buddha bones and a faint spiritual sensitivity. She marries into a wealthy merchant family for the second time, but life is soon caught in an undercurrent of conflict, stirred up by her domineering, superstitious mother-in-law and her emotionally obtuse husband. When a new factory is completed, her mother-in-law insists that the “master” Wang Fenglin perform a ritual. In the factory at midnight, the atmosphere is eerie and sinister. The Taoist priest singles out Su Jin and tells her to burn paper money in a specific spot. The moment the paper catches fire, a chilling wind rises, and the flames twist into a monstrous tornado! The priest suppresses his delight and declares, “The ghosts are snatching the money. Excellent luck!” Only Su Jin feels an icy chill pierce her to the bone. A night of horror changes everything! Su Jin’s face is ruined, covered in angry bumps. Worse still, her body begins a steady descent: inexplicable exhaustion, uncontrollable emotions, her C-section scar strangely splitting open, and even “seeing” writhing white threads in her eyes… Medical tests offer no answers. Renowned doctors and spirit mediums take turns examining her, all saying only that her “Buddha bones have been tainted,” to no avail. After six years of torment, she is on the verge of physical and mental collapse. At her most desperate, the reclusive master Ma Tianshu sees the truth: that night, Wang Fenglin performed the Five Ghosts Wealth-Attracting Spell, an evil ritual of utmost yin! The wicked Taoist coveted Su Jin’s rare, heaven-sent affinity with the Buddha bones. He had been parasitizing and feeding on her for six years, all to complete his dark arts! On the peak of Zhongnan Mountain, good and evil clash in a final showdown. Taoist Master Ma is no match for Wang Fenglin, who has devoured Su Jin’s Buddha bones. At the brink of death, Su Jin makes a fateful choice and offers her blood at the altar: “With my broken bones, I’ll burn the evil to ash!” Her Buddha bones are sacrificed, their light illuminating heaven and earth as the wicked Taoist is reduced to dust. When the smoke clears, her husband cradles her cold, lifeless body, tears streaming down his face. Yet a faint glimmer of wisdom from the Buddha bones is quietly carried away by a mysterious being from Kunlun… Was it delusion? An evil spirit? Or a deadly ploy to steal her heaven-sent affinity with the Buddha bones?
