Taiji's Stunning Beauty: Mrs. Shi Just Wants to Call Off the Engagement

Title: Tai Chi, Startling the World: Mrs. Shi Only Wants to End the Engagement

Synopsis:

Chen Xiao is the cherished late-born daughter of the head of the Chen family’s Tai Chi school. Although the school’s rules forbid women from practicing martial arts, she has never cared for books and calligraphy, preferring fists and footwork. Blessed with extraordinary talent, she surpasses even her older brother Chen Xu in Tai Chi swordsmanship and its secret techniques. When she is ten, the Chen family is suddenly wiped out. Amid blood and flames, her dying father tells her that she was promised in marriage as a baby to Shi Yu, the eldest son of the Shi family in Modu. The betrothal was arranged after the Chen family saved the life of the Shi family patriarch, and a jade pendant serves as proof. Her father also tells her to seek out her uncle, Chen Qingling, on Mount Kunlun. Then he takes his last breath.

After seeing to her family’s funeral, Chen Xiao sets out for Mount Kunlun, where she spends ten years in cultivation. When she finally descends the mountain, she is burdened with a blood feud, and her first priority is to uncover the culprit behind her family’s slaughter. Then she happens to remember her childhood betrothal and decides to visit the Shi family in Modu to call it off. After that, their paths will part, with no further ties between them.

But just as she reaches the outskirts of Modu, she comes across a group of people being pursued. She intends to stay out of it, but when the attackers try to kill her too, she has no choice but to reveal her true Tai Chi skills and drive them off in a few quick moves. Among those she saves is a handsome man named Shi Yu, her “fiancé.” Yet a delicate, affectionate beauty stands by his side, looking at Chen Xiao with unmistakable suspicion.

She hasn’t even taken out the jade pendant, and the betrothal is already a joke. Watching the scene before her, Chen Xiao runs her fingers over the pendant at her waist and curls her lips into a cold smile. This engagement will be ended, one way or another, and her revenge will be exacted. But the seemingly illustrious Shi family, and the stern, rule-bound CEO Shi, appear far more complicated than she expected...
