Jiujian Anming

[Fantasy courtship and character growth + maximum sweetness + a touch of political intrigue / 1v1, HE] Early on: a seemingly gentle but actually scheming prince who flirts relentlessly x a loyal, sincere, easily flustered bodyguard Later on: a devoted, possessive emperor x a gentle, steadfast general Yuan Jiuxi, courtesy name Linyue, and Qi Anming, courtesy name Huaichuan Everyone at court knows that the eldest prince, Yuan Jiuxi, is refined and gracious, diligent and astute, the perfect heir to the throne. But only Yuan Jiuxi knows he has a “sweet little problem”: his beloved bodyguard, Qi Huaichuan, whom he has carefully trained for years, is peerless in martial arts and utterly loyal, yet when it comes to love, he's as stubborn and thickheaded as a block of wood. Hints? He doesn't get them. Getting close? All he does is blush. Yuan Jiuxi rubs his forehead in exasperation. “This batch of bodyguards is so hard to handle. Looks like I'll have to try even harder.” While diligently navigating the treacherous struggles at court, the prince takes on one more major task: how to get his little bodyguard to realize his feelings. Back at the palace, he carefully sets the stage. “Teaching you chess one-on-one is a princely favor.” “Sharing a bed is just consideration for a subordinate.” “Putting my arm around your waist on an outing? I was afraid you'd fall!” He even humbly asks a maid, “How should I... um... naturally get him to confess how he feels?” Qi Huaichuan is baffled. His Highness treats him very well, just... a little too well. So well that his heart is always racing and his cheeks are always burning. He even wants His Highness to treat only him that way. But that would be improper! Until, while accompanying the prince on a trip south of the Yangtze for training, he accidentally takes an aphrodisiac. Yuan Jiuxi hoists his little bodyguard up and tosses him onto the bed, his breath hot: “I make the rules. Just tell me, is there someone in your heart?”
