Star Trails and Roses

Archaeologist Lin Qian discovers a mysterious bronze compass at the Sanxingdui Ruins, accidentally activating alien technology and meeting the enigmatic Lu Chen, whose identity is shrouded in mystery. Lu Chen can stop time and is actually the last “Guardian of Time and Space” from the planet Tianshu, stranded on Earth after a disaster destroyed his homeworld. As they decode the compass, the two become entangled in a conspiracy by an alien faction called “Dark Entropy,” which plans to use Earth's magnetic field to reactivate Tianshu's weapon of war, the “Ring of Annihilation.” Under Lu Chen's protection, Lin Qian gradually awakens her quantum perception abilities. They fall in love during their adventures across time and space, but soon face the impending collapse of the “Spacetime Elastic Matrix”: if Lu Chen repairs it, he will lose forever his right to remain on Earth; if they leave it alone, Earth will be pulled into a parallel universe. In the end, Lin Qian uses a key to the ancient Shu civilization, discovered through her archaeological work, to find a way for the two civilizations to coexist.
