Romance Through Inner Thoughts

Ruan Xingwan, a socially anxious girl majoring in applied psychology, unexpectedly awakens the “Personality Spectrum Bullet Screen,” which turns other people's thoughts into real-time comments above their heads. When she discovers that Zhou Yan, the aloof campus heartthrob she's secretly in love with, is actually a nonstop, sharp-tongued commentator on the inside, her world is turned upside down. Zhou Yan helps her pick up a book, and a comment floats by: “Abnormal Psychology? So she's this wild in private.” She adjusts her glasses, and his mind explodes: “Help! Sheldon, but as a cute real-life person!” But using her ability too much confuses her sense of self, forcing her to recruit Zhou Yan for a “Nonviolent Communication Workshop.” Armed with both psychological theory and spoilers from the comments, the socially anxious girl sets out on the path to communication. When a loop of “Should I confess?” starts scrolling above both their heads in sync, she finally summons the courage to start a conversation about their feelings in the clumsiest, most sincere way possible.
