Rewinding the Gears of Time

Clockmaker Gu Shi'an can hear time crying.

Every broken antique clock holds a life torn apart: a bullet-scarred pocket watch from 1940 conceals a farewell letter written amid the war; a mantel clock that stopped in 1992 holds the last song of a mother dying of cancer; an old camera with rusted gears captures a lie that spans half a century...

Having inherited the century-old “Time Station,” he holds memory-rewinding sands of time in his left hand and a time paradox that could turn on him at any moment in his right. When a mysterious organization begins erasing humans who serve as “time anchors,” he chooses to use the hands that repair clocks to mend the city's tattered timeline.

“Gears can turn backward, but a life shouldn't be reset.”
