The Laid-Back Maid’s Lie-Flat Food Diary

[A laid-back office worker who just wants to lie flat × an unconventional slacker System × an entire cast switching to food]

Lin Xiaowan, an overworked office worker, transmigrates into a household-intrigue novel as a disposable maid forced to taste-test poison. According to the original story, she’s destined to die by chapter seven.

She looks at the almond pastries in the carved food box, then turns around and slips the poisoned treats to her scheming coworker. “You’ve worked so hard, sister. Here, have this box of mung bean cakes.”

After binding to a lie-flat System, she discovers:

Refusing to deliver poison earns +1 Slacker Point.

Pretending to sleep in the garden to avoid an assassination earns +5 Slacker Points.

Feeding the hangover soup to a stray cat earns +10 Slacker Points!

While everyone else fights to the death, she holes up in the kitchen developing Buddha’s Hand pastries, and the hot-tempered head chef begs to take her on as a student.

While the heroine recites poetry in the plum garden, she uses “smooth-talking” to convince the old madam that “you need a full stomach to have the strength for household intrigue.”

When the villain tries to frame her, she activates her “group bluffing” skill, and the whole household suddenly suffers collective amnesia...
