Chang'an: A Journey in Reverse

The story takes place in the fictional dynasty of Dayong, a world where the martial world and the imperial court are intertwined. Dayong was founded on martial power. The imperial court established the Tianshu Bureau to govern the martial sects, while secret agents are stationed throughout the realm. When the protagonist transmigrates into this perilous world, Dayong is locked in a three-way standoff with the Northern Di and Western Hu. The court is consumed by an escalating struggle between the “Clear Stream Party” and the “Noble Houses Faction,” while forces in the martial world, including the Tang Clan, a family of mechanisms and poisons; Medicine King Valley, a sanctuary of healing arts; and Blood Saber Sect, a demonic assassin organization, are stirring beneath the surface.
