National Fate: Elegantly Sacrifice Tokyo to the Abyss

“Good evening, everyone.” “For the next seventy-two hours, I’ll be performing for you, ” “How to destroy a city in the most elegant way possible.” The national-destiny cataclysm descended, and Tokyo was chosen as its first sacrifice. As the world panicked, the military collapsed, and mythical creatures devoured people on the streets of Ginza, the one sent by Huaxia was a boy in a school uniform, with a backpack on his shoulders, humming an off-key tune. His name was Lin Ya. A madman chosen by the [Mad Artist System]. His mission was never to save anyone. It was to “complete a sacrifice grand enough to dazzle the world.” “Destruction isn’t the goal. Aesthetics are.” “I want Tokyo to smile more brilliantly as it falls than it ever did in life.” And so the world watched on livestream as: He played Russian roulette atop the burning Tokyo Tower, using an empty gun to scare off the eight-nation alliance; He set up a blood-red tea party in the ruins of Yasukuni Shrine, “negotiating” with a United Nations envoy about how to destroy civilization; He danced a waltz over Mount Fuji’s lava, each step composing a funeral march for the Yamata no Orochi. When the seventy-two-hour countdown reached zero, Lin Ya stood atop Tokyo Skytree, smiling and bowing to the burning city. In his hand was the red button that would detonate the ley lines beneath the entire Kanto region. “The final act.” “No rescue. No miracles.” “Only what I offer to the abyss, ” He pressed the button. Behind him, countless buildings became blazing pillars amid a deafening roar, like a spectacular fireworks display. “, my graduation project.” Before the white light swallowed everything, he turned to the camera and whispered: “Don’t worry.” “The next city won’t be long.” [A madman’s love letter to the world]
