Perfect Elite: Black Myth

This work is adapted from the esports game Black Myth: Wukong and pays tribute to our classic novel Journey to the West.

Night fell, and moonlight filtered through the curtains onto Dong Chenyu’s desk. She expertly put on her VR headset, tapped the start button, and entered the world of Black Myth: Wukong.

“Chenyu, the legend, is online!” Messages immediately flooded the public chat.

A System prompt sounded: “Player ‘Chenyu Listening to Rain’ has entered the game. Matching teammates...”

Three seconds later, the match was successful. The screen displayed the teammate list: Dong Qinyu (ID: Clear Breeze over Qin Rain), Lin Jinyi (ID: Wanderer at the Ferry), Chen Yue (ID: Drinking Alone beneath the Moon), and Liu Qiong (ID: Jade Dew on Qiong Blossoms). The last player, a newcomer with the ID “Yu Qinyi,” joined the team as well.
