Perfect Elite: Breaking Free from the Cocoon, Mastering the World

Perfect Elite: Breaking Free of the Cocoon [Synopsis]

The instant Dong Chenyu’s sniper scope settled on the “Cross of Death,” a blinding warning flashed across her tactical display: “Abnormal neural reflex parameters detected. Recommend activating male compensation mode.”

This was the 107th second since she had gone undercover for three years and returned to the professional arena.

Three years ago, she had been expelled from the league for refusing to have an enhancement chip implanted. Now she stood here wearing a prosthetic eye in disguise. The sniper position of her opponents, Team BS, perfectly matched the surveillance angle in her father’s lab from her memories. The file number of the case permanently sealed because “female emotional fluctuations affect team performance” was now flashing frantically across her retinal display.

“The CFPL season opener: AG versus BS!”

Before the commentator had even finished, Dong Chenyu’s headset picked up a bizarre signal interference. Her opponents’ weapon calibration frequency was perfectly synchronized with the “Hummingbird Algorithm” she had developed three years ago. The steel supports of the virtual map began to warp, and she suddenly realized that the flickering numbers were not cover, but neural-control code planted by a corporate conglomerate.

When the first bullet pierced the holographic trajectory, Dong Chenyu’s trigger finger abruptly turned. She was no longer aiming at the crosshair on an enemy’s helmet, but at the AI core behind the livestream camera, which was tampering with the match data of tens of millions of viewers. As the smoke cleared, everyone heard the system alarm resonating with their heartbeats: “Gender verification complete. New rules have been written into the competitive gene chain.”
