From the Tang Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty

Lin Jian, a postgraduate archaeology student, touches a mysterious bronze mirror in a museum and unexpectedly transmigrates to the Zhenguan era of the Tang dynasty, where she is mistaken for an assassin and nearly killed. Young general Li Yan saves the strangely dressed, eccentric woman on instinct, then is forced to pass her off as his cousin to conceal her identity. With her extensive knowledge of history, Lin Jian helps Li Yan out of one crisis after another. As they experience major historical events together, including the Xuanwu Gate Incident and the An Lushan Rebellion, they gradually fall for each other. Yet whenever history reaches a turning point, the mirror’s power sends Lin Jian to another dynasty: from the height of the Tang to the Ming, from the prosperous reign of Kangxi to the turmoil of the late Qing. Even more astonishing, Li Yan seems to follow her through time, changing from a Tang general into a commander of the Embroidered Uniform Guard, a leader of the imperial bodyguards, and more... When they finally uncover the mirror’s secret and must choose between remaining in the past or returning to the modern world, their love across a thousand years and their mission to protect Chinese civilization lead them to an unexpected decision...
