You Are the Joy of My Youth 1

The boy you love is you. Yi An and Bai Xiaoxiang grow fond of each other in high school, progressing from a mutual secret crush in their youth to finding their way through hardships and finally becoming a couple. In high school, their feelings are innocent, ambiguous, restrained, and conflicted. After graduation, Bai Xiaoxiang plans to study abroad, so when Yi An confesses, he cruelly turns him down, and they miss their chance. Two years later, Bai Xiaoxiang returns to China and they get back in touch. Their time together during the pandemic, in particular, rekindles their feelings. But with Ji Wei's interference and Bai's mother's opposition, Yi An retreats once more amid misunderstandings. Under the pressures of school, upheaval in Yi An's family, and the gap between their social backgrounds, they miss each other again and again. At last, after his best friend helps him see things clearly, Yi An accepts someone else's confession. Only then does Bai Xiaoxiang understand his own heart, and he flies back overnight to confess. They clear up one misunderstanding after another and finally choose each other with courage and conviction. In the face of opposition from the Bai family, Yi An stands his ground and wins the approval of most of them, along with Bai's mother's tacit acceptance.
