The Battle Soul Burns the Heavens

Xia Andong, the second son of the Xia family of Jiangcheng, is shunned by his family because his Battle Soul fails to awaken in childhood. His mother mysteriously disappears after leaving him half of a bronze fragment engraved with “Taiyan,” and his younger sister is abducted during a barbarian siege and taken deep into Jiyuan. At sixteen, the fragment resonates with the mark between his brows, awakening a crippled “Taiyan Battle Soul” capable of burning mountains and boiling seas. Though its three flickers of scarlet flame are weak, they burn away the humiliation of being a “castoff.”

From the Wolf Guard of Jiangcheng to the Great General Who Subdues the Vault of Heaven, he crosses the ruins of ancient battlefields and uncovers the secrets of the Twelve Ancient Gods who once ruled together. Amid the struggles for power within the human empire, the withering of the demon race’s spirit veins, and the witch clan’s obsession with revenge, he searches for a path of iron and blood that means coexistence, not extermination. When the fragment’s final marking lights up, pointing to an ancient god’s ruins deep in the Western Regions, the winds of the Vault Realm will remember this name: the man who, amid mountains of corpses and seas of blood, used the fire of his Battle Soul to light the way for all races.
