Records of the Hanging Mirror: The Mystery of Nüwa's Bones

At the end of a narrow lane in Xihai City, the brass bell at Mirror Casket House always rings on rainy nights. A lotus-shaped birthmark on antique restorer Xu Yan's palm can make broken ancient mirrors reveal the spirit memories they held a century ago. Then he catches a fragment of a bronze mirror engraved with the markings of Nüwa, and blood-red characters seep from its surface, shattering the quiet: "Nüwa's bones lie at the bottom of the Mirror Abyss. The Bone-Illuminating Mirror seeks someone."

A thousand years ago, Nüwa used her breastbone to pin the nine-headed Xiangliu at the boundary between the two worlds, in a place called the Mirror Abyss. Now, the living are turning into mirrors one after another: their pupils fill with snake scales, their flesh breaks into countless fragments, and every shard reflects the same warning. While restoring the Ten Thousand Mirrors Array left behind by his late master, Xu Yan is caught in a deadly struggle between three factions. The "Mirror Slaves," whose faces are embedded with shards of glass, seek to resurrect Nüwa and restart the world. The red-robed divine envoy Qingluan wears a lock of his master's severed hair at her waist. And the mysterious youth Zhaoye can tear open rifts in the Mirror Abyss. He says coldly, "Your blood can make Nüwa's bones grow at the bottom of the mirror."
