In 1975, an ill-fated expedition came to a disastrous end in an explosion. Decades later, an old friend dragged me into a research team. During that expedition, we unexpectedly discovered part of an ancient civilization. As we ventured deeper, more and more clues suggested that humanity might be nothing more than a lab rat in an experiment conducted by some higher form of life. Yet history was destined not to leave humanity in the dark. Further exploration revealed that the higher life form had split into opposing factions, and humanity seized the opportunity to seal it away. During the expedition, I also learned that my family had been guarding a secret all along: an unspoken mystery left behind after a war between gods and humans. But everything was thrown into disarray, and I slowly drew closer to the heart of the secret. Meanwhile, a conspiracy surrounding the expedition gradually came to light. Where did humanity come from, and where are we headed?
