The Crown Prince of the Celestial Clan secretly descended to the mortal realm and married a mortal woman who cultivated immortality. But for the sake of a pheasant spirit, she dug out the prince's spiritual root, then deceived him by saying she wanted to be with him for all eternity. To frame the prince, the pheasant spirit hired someone to seduce him, making his wife believe he was secretly consorting with the Demon Clan. Without investigating the truth, she had him imprisoned. Fortunately, the Celestial Clan's Imperial Princess discovered what was happening and rescued him. Only then did the wife realize it had all been the pheasant spirit's scheme. In a rage, she beat the pheasant spirit to death and gave the prince her own spiritual root, but he still did not forgive her.
