At Sunshine High School, the badminton club is where dreams and passion come together. Ordinary teenager Zhao Yu joins, driven by his burning dream of playing badminton. At first, his skills are average, but his passion is unmatched. He gives his all at every practice, determined to improve.
Qin Ran, the club's star player, is a dazzling presence, with superb technique, fierce smashes, and nimble footwork. She cannot understand why Zhao Yu pushes himself so hard and thinks he's getting in over his head. Zhao Yu, meanwhile, sees Qin Ran as the person he wants to catch up with and longs to stand by her side.
An important interschool badminton tournament is just around the corner, bringing both opportunity and challenge. Qin Ran is determined to win as a key player, and Zhao Yu vows to prove himself on the court. He often gets injured during practice, but never gives up. He keeps studying techniques and analyzing his opponents.
Sunshine High breezes through the preliminary rounds, but in the semifinals they face a formidable opponent, Experimental High. Its captain, Chen Feng, is a powerful and unpredictable player. In the opening game, he puts Qin Ran on the back foot and takes the win. Just as the team's morale begins to flag, Zhao Yu steps up. Relying on his agility and astonishing determination, he saves the rally again and again at crucial moments, disrupting Chen Feng's rhythm and winning a pivotal game. He lifts the whole team's spirits and leads them into the final.
In the final, Sunshine High refuses to back down against last year's champions, Yuying High. Zhao Yu and Qin Ran work together seamlessly, and in the deciding game, Zhao Yu seals the win with a brilliant smash, helping the team claim the championship. The match brings glory to Sunshine High and makes Zhao Yu and Qin Ran close friends, while bringing the badminton club even closer together.
