While My Brother's Soul Was Scattered, My King of Hell Father Celebrated My Stepmother's Birthday

When my stepmother wanted to see soldiers of the underworld crossing into the mortal realm for her birthday, my father, the King of Hell, led every soldier of the underworld to accompany her.

The evil spirits trapped beneath the Eighteenth Level of Hell took the opportunity to wreak havoc, trying to break through the gates of the underworld and escape into the mortal realm.

To prevent chaos from consuming the world, my brother used himself as the formation and vanished without a trace.

I sent a message to my father from a thousand miles away, forcing him to hurry back and suppress the evil spirits.

Unexpectedly, after the evil spirits were returned to the Eighteenth Level of Hell, tragic news about my stepmother arrived as well.

She had encountered an evil spirit that had slipped out of the underworld beyond the city walls, and it had brutally killed her.

When my father found out, he barely reacted, saying it was her fate.

Only after word of my efforts to quell the rebellion reached the human world, and the people built me a temple and offered incense while the Celestial Emperor bestowed an official title on me, did my father poison me at the victory banquet and throw me into Dog-Biting Ridge to be torn apart.

"If it weren't for you, Man'er would never have died."

"You caused all this suffering for your own selfish reasons. How dare you accept their offerings!"

"Today, I will sever our relationship. The Judge of the Underworld will also spread the word about everything you've done. From now on, you'll reincarnate as a beast for all eternity!"

I was overcome with grief. When I opened my eyes again, I was back on the day the evil spirits escaped.
