On National Day, My Self-Righteous Roommate Gave Away My Train Ticket

My boyfriend and I planned to meet during the National Day holiday, but that day I discovered someone had canceled my train ticket.

I didn't find out why until I got back to the dorm.

My roommate had used my phone to get a refund so another student could get home, because they couldn't find a ticket.

I confronted her.

She said, completely unapologetically, "Their family member is sick and they need to go home and take care of them. Your boyfriend isn't dying. You can visit him next time."

Who knew her words would come true? Since I didn't visit him, my boyfriend went back to the office to work overtime.

The building caught fire, and he burned to death at his desk.

I was devastated.

Just as I was finally starting to recover,

my roommate said she'd take me out to clear my head, but instead brought me to the countryside for a blind date.

It turned out some country bumpkin had gone online looking for a wife, and my roommate thought I was a good match for him.

I thought it was ridiculous and tried to leave, but the bumpkin locked me in a basement.

I was eventually rescued, but the trauma left an indelible mark on me.

I died of depression.

When I opened my eyes again, I was back on the day my roommate used my phone to cancel my ticket.
